WILLIAM GEORGE VINING

January 15, 1946 – October 20, 2023

William George Vining, 77, of Ryderwood Washington passed away on October 20, 2023, at his home in Ryderwood. He was born on January 15, 1946, in Tacoma Washington to Ward and Bernice Cromwell. He was adopted by Albert and Alta Vining on January 15,1946.

William is survived by his wife Dixie Vining of Ryderwood, Washington. They were married in Everett, Washington on February 18, 1967. Survived by two sons: James Vining of Milwaukee, Oregon and Jason Vining of Fort Worth, Texas. Grandchildren: Kiarra Carmean of Round Top Texas, Kyleigh Pound of Byran Texas, Daryan Vining of Portland Oregon, Koal Vining of Fort Worth Texas, and Dixie D Vining of Fort Worth Texas. 

William has five sisters Connie Bates of Medford Oregon and Barbara Dempsey of Spanaway Washington, Dianne Dempsey of Spokane, Washington, Adele Birdwell of Spokane Washington, and Laura Birdwell of Worland Wyoming.

William has four brothers Ward Cromwell of Republic Washington, Monte Cromwell of Florence, Oregon, Brett Cromwell of Republic Washington, and Kim Cromwell of Chattaroy Washington.

William worked for Lemmons Trucking in Longview Washington for 25 years.

William served in the Navy during Vietnam War and was on the USS Yorktown.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Winlock Assembly of God on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11 AM with a graveside to follow at Little Falls Cemetery. There will be a reception at the Ryderwood Community Center following the graveside.
