William (Bill) Arthur Murray (Jr.)
March 27, 1947-March 19, 2025 (Age 77)
In loving memory of Bill Murray, age 77, who passed away after extended health problems on March 19th at Swedish Medical Hospital. Born on March 27, 1947, in Olympia, Washington, Bill was the third child of the late William Alexander Murray and Bette Belle Lepper Murray.
Bill graduated from Olympia High School in 1965, lived his entire life in Thurston and Lewis Counties. After working as a truck driver for 37 years, he retired early at 54 and devoted the rest of his life to helping others, spending time with friends and family, fishing, hunting, travelling, and camping. A devoted partner and father, he is survived by the love of his life and partner of over 30 years, Regina Hileman, ex-wives Carolyn and Pam, children Bill Jr. and Jennifer, stepchildren Shannon, Hillarie, Mark, Melissa, and Tara, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and sister Yvonne (Lee) Blocher. Bill was always quick with a laugh, a joke, and a helping hand. He was an amazing partner, father, Papa, and friend and is deeply missed. May those who loved him know he loved you deeply and find comfort that he is no longer struggling.
Bill has been cremated and will have his ashes scattered in the Pacific Ocean, the place he was happiest. A celebration of life is being planned for this summer.
