Wayne carried his love of sports well into his later years, watching with regularity the Boston Celtics, CA Lakers, Mariners and SeaHawks He was an avid fisherman and hunter, spending many hours on the riverbank or in the woods with a hunting partner.
He held various job positions during his employment years. The work he enjoyed most was being behind the wheel of vehicles with more than four tires. Wayne was a consistent and reliable employee who rarely missed a day of work. He retired in 2000 after working for Harold Sorensen Trucking, Road Contractors, for more than ten years.
