Wanda (Bailey) Myers was born on November 28th, 1938, in Wapato, Washington, to William and Gladys (Brewington) Bailey. She was one of two daughters; her sister Evelyn was always her best friend. Wanda met William "Bill" Myers at a camp meeting church service when she was living in Richland, WA, and he was stationed at the Army base in Hanford, WA. They married in 1961and settled in their first home in Packwood, WA. Bill and Wanda were active in their local church and community. Wanda served as the Sunday School and Church Treasurer for many years at the Packwood Assembly of God, and played the piano or accordion, as needed, humbly sharing her talents. In 1994, they moved from Packwood to Onalaska, WA, to be closer to their children and grandchildren. They joined the Jackson Prairie Church, where Wanda enjoyed the Ladies’ Bible Studies and reaching out in her quiet way to those who were struggling and in need. She continued to play the accordion but saved piano playing for teaching grandchildren at home. Wanda was quiet and soft-spoken, happy to be home throughout the years, taking care of what mattered most to her - her family. She and Bill enjoyed 64 years together and were blessed with four children: Annette, Alan, Dale, and Andra. The blessings continued with the addition of 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. On October 22, 2025, at home and surrounded by family, Wanda slipped quietly into heaven. She was preceded in death by her son, Dale; her sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and William Galbreath; and her sister-in-law, Delores (Jean) Maloney. She is survived by her husband William, children Annette (Mark) Erickson, Alan (Dana) Myers, and Andra (Tom) Blair, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and multiple nephews and nieces. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 21, 2025. Jackson Prairie Church 4224 Jackson Hwy Chehalis WA 98532 (meal to follow)
