Tracie Anne (Rolan) Morgan of Winlock, WA, went to heaven on September 23, 2021. Her husband Patrick Morgan joined her just two days later. Tracie was 60 years old. Tracie was born April 13, 1961 in San Bernardino, CA, to Evelyn (Gee) Crawford and Thomas Rolan.
After graduating from Cajon High School in 1979, Tracie moved to Centralia, WA to be near family. It was in Centralia that she met her first husband Mike Gelder. They had two sons together, Matthew and Christopher Gelder. Tracie and Mike were married for 12 years.
Tracie met the love of her life, Patrick Morgan, and they married on February 17, 1993. Shortly after marrying, Tracie and Pat moved their family to Pennsylvania so Pat could practice law. They lived in Pennsylvania for 5 years before returning home and settling in Winlock, WA.
Tracie‘s greatest joy was being Grandma to Bailey and Logan. She played a major role in raising them. Bailey and Logan miss her tremendously. Tracie was an active grandma always present at school functions and sporting events. Tracie didn’t just show up to school plays or dance recitals, she helped set up, decorate and did costume design. She drove grandkids to practices and really enjoyed shopping for them. Years later when her third grandchild, Rebekah, arrived Tracie never hesitated to babysit or offer to help. Rebekah lovingly called her Grandma CC. She was always sharing what her grandkids were up to. It was easy to see how much she adored them and was so very proud of them.
Tracie spent her life caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked at a doctors office, Providence Centralia Hospital, an in home nanny, an adult family home, and her favorite job, taking care of students as a special ed para at Evaline School. At every job Tracie would go beyond what was expected to ensure people felt loved and well cared for.
Outside of family and work Tracie and Pat would escape to the beach whenever possible. Tracie was active in the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening year round and had several house plants. Pansies and Petunias were Tracie’s favorite.
Tracie was preceded in death by her stepson Michael Morgan, her father Thomas Rolan, grandmother Louise Rolan and Grandfather Sid Rolan. Tracie is loved and missed by her sons Matthew Gelder, Chris (Angie) Gelder and daughter in-law Amy Poncelet; Grandchildren Bailey, Logan, Rebekah, and bonus grandkids Casen and Della; her mother Evelyn Crawford and stepfather Butch Crawford; Siblings Cindy (David) Presting, Tom Rolan, Jamie Bibb, Karl Bibb Jr. and Ron Crawford.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
