Steven Roy “Steve” Luurs Sr Obituary
Steven ‘Steve’ Luurs passed away at home on January 18, 2024. He was born May 7, 1955, in Santa Rosa, California. Steve moved to Washington state in his teen years. He met Robin Owen and their relationship lasted approximately 50 years until Robin passed away in 2020. They lived in various places in Washington, a brief time in Idaho, before settling down in Toledo, Washington. Steve worked driving trucks for much of his life. Most of his driving was spent in a logging truck navigating the back roads hauling timber for the forestry industry. Steve loved hunting and spending time in the woods. When Robin got sick and needed some care, Steve provided that care. He also loved and cared for his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Freda Luurs and his wife Robin. He is survived by two daughters, Memorie and Hollie and one son, Steven Jr, brothers Dennis and Gary, sisters Brandy, Albertina, and Cathy, 4 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. He will be greatly missed!
Services will be held at Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock, Washington on April 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. This will be followed by burial at the Winlock cemetery and a Celebration of Life at Cowlitz Prairie Grange located at 5184 Jackson Hwy, Toledo.
