SEAN NORMAN CURTS
Sean was born to Archie and Judy Curtis, July 4, 1972, at American River Hospital in Carmichael, California. He passed away unexpectedly at Sunwest Adult Family Home in Lynnwood Washington on June 27. He lived in Sacramento for one year and Fresno California until he relocated to Kent Washington in 1981, following his parents divorce he returned to California where he began his education in San Jose and later graduated from Milpitas High School, Class of 1991.
Sean was a “Special Needs” young man. Though he struggled with disabilities he had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. His dad was very important to him, and he maintained daily contact (sometimes several times LOL). He was extremely fortunate to have had Washington vocation services whose staff advocated on his behalf. He loved Dan and Bretta who were able to provide counseling with compassion and firmness to guide Him. Laura Yacko and Paul Simon stepped in as Sean’s DDA Manager following the death of Sean’s mother. They worked tirelessly for Sean’s benefit.
Sean worked at PCC Community Markets in Edmonds at the time of his death. He loved his fellow workers and was known by everyone there. He loved his boss Drew especially.
He lived at Sunwest Adult Family Home and loved his caregivers Fitsum and Faye.
He was preceded in death by his mother and all his grandparents. He is survived by his stepmother, Nancy, his father Archie, sisters Anne-Marie (Greg), Samantha (Kyle), April (Michael), Kristen (AJ), and many aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and his favorite dog “Gracie.”
He would always end our phone calls “I love you Dad very much and I miss you very much.” He will be forever in our hearts.
Sean’s life will be celebrated July 14, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Cattermole Funeral Home Chapel. Refreshments to follow.
