Ryan James Carter, 31 of Chehalis, WA passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2023 in Ocean Shores, WA. He was born Oct. 9, 1991 in Prineville, OR to Mary and Tim Carter. He attended school at WF West High School.
Ryan enjoyed baseball, hunting, fishing, and the beach. He loved hanging out with his family and friends and just living it up. He lived life to the fullest. He operated his own successful construction business, “Carter Concrete, LLC.”
Ryan is survived by his parents Mary Carter, Chehalis and Tim Carter, Prineville, OR., his two children, Kova 6, and Klay 4 who were his whole world (the mother of his 2 children, Samantha Carter Coleman) along with the most loyal companion a man can have, the best dog ever, Charlie who went everywhere he went, his siblings; Brian (Krisa) Crawford, Chehalis, Jill (Jeremy) Thibault, Chehalis, Amy Reed (Scotty), S. Dakota, grandmother Margie Watson, Madras, his buddy Uncle Ray Watson, Winlock, Ryan was especially close to his nieces, Jordan and twins, Payge and Paytton Crawford, Chehalis. He loved wrestling with his twin nephew and niece Kory and Heather Thibault, nieces Kylah, Kacie, Brooklyn, Braelyn, twins Micah and Macie Reed of South Dakota and his partner Kelsie Joyner, Ocean Shores, WA which he was building a new life with and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ryan was preceded in death by brother Jeff Carter, grandparents Ed and Donna Carter and grandfather George “Bud” Watson.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Lewis and Clark Hotel at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a trust for Ryans children, Kova and Klay at Security State Bank or an account that has been made on Go Fund Me. Cattermole Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ryan’s ashes will be interned in Prineville next to his brother Jeff Carter.
