Ronald Dennis Obituary

Ron Dennis (61) died in his home in Silver Creek, Washington on May 25th after a courageous battle with cancer. Ron was born in Seattle, Washington, the youngest child to AJ and Arlene Dennis. There he attended Martha Lake Elementary school before moving with family to Ketchikan, Alaska when he was 12 years old. He attended Schoenbar Middle School and graduated from Kayhi High School in Ketchikan. Ron worked in the family print shop until 1985 when he returned to the Seattle area. Upon returning to the Seattle area, he resumed his career in printing. There he met and married April Bake. They had a blended family with three children, Aaron, Ashlee and Ryun. Ron and April moved to Idaho for a few years and after returning to Washington parted ways. Ron and the kids settled in east Lewis County. He resumed printing in Chehalis, was a volunteer on the Salkum Fire Department and also coached youth sports in Mossyrock (and Idaho). After years in printing, he decided to go back to school and attended Centralia College where he received an ATA Degree. He spent the final decade of his career as an RV and utility trailer repair mechanic, a job he excelled at and was enthusiastic about. Ron met his wife Lauri 16 years ago and they married four months later in Las Vegas. His family grew once again. They resided in Centralia for a couple of years before putting a tiny home on Dennis Mountain to be near family. It was not long before Lauri realized more room was needed so Ron built her an addition and a large deck for family and friends to gather. There he loved to grill, smoke meat, and enjoyed visiting with friends and family. Ron enjoyed life, he loved the outdoors and was always busy. He was happy mowing, building, or tinkering on anything. He also loved the beach, music, camping, fishing, hiking, boating, bowling, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Ron was an exceedingly kind and generous man who genuinely enjoyed helping others. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Lauri, his mother Arlene, five children, Aaron (Maddie), Ashlee (Wesley), Ryun (Chelsee), Shonna, Rosa (Ampa), and their children, (11 grandchildren) siblings, Terry Paul (Sherene), Scott (Edy), JoAnn (George), and their families. Along with many other relatives and friends. He was proceeded in death by his father, AJ Dennis. A celebration of Ron’s life will take place at a later date. It will be announced on social media or by family directly.
