On Wednesday, June 15th 2022, Robert “Bob” Peterson, passed away at the age of 65. Bob was born July 26th 1956 to Robert and Joanie (Maurin) Peterson. He was a logger and Boilermaker for 40 years. He married Deana Peterson (Morton) and raised two sons, Matthew and Tyler.
Bob had a passion for the outdoors. He loved his job of timber falling and was an avid hunter. He hunted for anything he could in the pacific northwest and even traveled outside of this state to pursue his passion. Bob was very social as well. He could make friends wherever he went, including a few enemies along the way. The real trick was getting him to stop talking so you could get a word in. Bob even liked to talk about history, even though he got a few details wrong along the way. Bob would pry have told you his favorite movie was something like “Full Metal Jacket” but in reality, it was pry “Happy Gilmore”.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Joanie, and Father, Robert. Bob is survived by his wife, Deana, two sons, Matthew and Tyler, his brother, Bill, and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members who loved him dearly. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at Claquato Cemetary Stearns Rd at 1pm on June 22nd 2022 and a reception will follow immediately at Newaukum Grange on the corner of Brown Rd E and Highway 603.
