It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Randall (Randy) Gene Wichert on February
25 th, 2025, at the age of 62. Randy was born on May 31 st, 1962, in Chehalis, WA. to Fredrick
and JoAnne.
Randy had sarcastic humor, quick wit and a wide smile on wheels. He had a love for models
(the kind you put together, although he loved the ones who walked on the runway too), restoring
classic cars especially his 65 Pontiac LeMans, NASCAR, fishing, family time, and a cold MGD.
Every August you would find Randy at the drag races surrounded by friends and family soaking
up the sun, smell of race fuel and the rumble of cars as they raced down the track.
He was survived by his daughter Randi Jo and son-in-law Ken; brothers, Rick, Ronnie, Ryan
and Patrick; sisters, Judy, Michele and Melissa; granddaughter, Kiya; and several nieces and
nephews.
Proceeded in death by his father Fredrick Wichert and stepmom Linda Wichert; and his
grandma Dorothy Wichert.
Please join us for his service at St Francis Xavier Mission (139 Spencer RD, Toledo) on Friday
March 7 th at 11am. This will be immediately followed by a graveside service at the Winlock
cemetery. A potluck will be held at the Winlock Community Building immediately following the graveside.
“Let no one weep for me or celebrate my funeral with mourning; for I still live, as I pass to and
fro through the mouths of men.”
