Marvin Wesley Coleman peacefully passed away at his home at Maple Street Manor in Pe Ell, Washington on April 1, 2026. He was surrounded by his angel caregivers who have assisted him with love, kindness and expert care since 2021.
Born on May 25,1941 in Castle Rock, Washington, Marv was the son of Warren and Althea (Kelley) Coleman. He is survived by his brother Les (Carol) Coleman and sister Sharon (Phil) Compton, numerous loving cousins, nieces, nephews and his beloved dog, Humphrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenny, sisters Francis (also known as Randi Nelson), and Jeania Coleman.
Marvin grew up in Randle, Washington and was a proud graduate of White Pass High School. He faithfully attended the White Pass sports events in baseball, track and basketball. He considered it an honor to be asked to run the clock for the White Pass Panthers basketball team, never missing a game. After he retired, he loved riding the team bus for away games and was given a poster by the varsity cheerleaders naming him the #One Fan and a picture of the cheerleaders. These were hung in his room and he would proudly point them out to all visitors!
In the Randle community that he was so proud to be a part of, Marv was a faithful, loyal friend to many. Whether it was working for the Forest Service during the summers, C and E mill, Mount St. Helens’ Visitors Center, Cowlitz Stud Mill, or volunteering for the Randle Fire Department, he cherished the wonderful support of friends and the contributions he made to the community.
A burial service will be held at the Morton City Cemetery on Wed., April 22 at 11 a.m. Matthew March will be officiating.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 25 beginning at 1:30 pm at the Randle Fire Hall. Come and share friendship, refreshments and memories of our dear friend and family member, Marvin Coleman.
