Marsha Jane Dupree (Merchant) 1937-2024, passed peacefully Aug 28 at St Peter Providence hospital in Olympia WA. Marsha, from Winlock WA, was born May 17, in Ryderwood WA, 5th of 9 children born to Leroy Landon Merchant & Ruth Estella Merchant (Pettit).

Preceding Marsha’s death are Merchant siblings Leroy L. Jr (Mona) James A. (Erna), Patsy R. Gottfryd (Robert), Lyle E., Donald V., Harlan R., (Carla) & Larry N. (Carol), husband Richard Lee Padgett, children Richard L. Jr. (Dorothy), Guy E., & Brock E. Padgett, & 2nd husband John Dupree.

Marsha leaves sister Winnie Sue (Larry) Rakoz, children Dianna Padgett, Dana (Jonna) Padgett, David Dupree (Gloria), 9 grandchildren, 3 great granddaughters, many nieces, nephews, & great nieces & nephews. Marsha was a switchboard operator & caregiver, known for creating & giving puzzle pictures to many, loved family, gardening, Seahawks, & collector of Betty Boop.

Services for family are Sept 27, 2024, by Cattermole Funeral Home at 11am at Little Falls Cemetery, followed by Celebration of Life for family & friends, catered by The Tracks from 1 to 4pm, both in Vader WA. Donations can be made to Winlock Senior Center.
