Margaret Alice (McMahon) Davis (Maggie) went to be with the Lord on 3/20/2023 after a series of falls & Alzheimer's dementia. She was born in Yakima, WA on 6/19/1931 to Harold Sumner McMahon and Margaret Jane (Wallace) McMahon. She had an older brother, Wallace H. McMahon who preceded her in death. She grew up in the area that became Lynnwood helping her family run their gas station and convenience store and subsequent “Maggie’s Drive-In” restaurant. She graduated from Edmonds High School in 1949 where she won many athletic awards. She then went to Washington State College (WSC).
While at WSC she met her future husband Kenneth Richard Davis and they married 8/11/1951 in Lynnwood, Washington. That year she also began her 36 years with the United States Postal Service. At the time of retirement in 1985, mom worked as the main terminal annex manager over 95 post offices's parcel post services in King County.
In retirement, Ken and Maggie traveled to Europe and Australia and in a variety of RVs, travelling through most of the United States and Canada. Maggie was an active member and full time volunteer at the Toledo Senior Center after they returned from travel, settling in Winlock where Ken had grown up.
Her two children survive her: Michael Davis (Carol Solie, spouse) and Marianne (Davis) Smith (Roger Smith, spouse); three grandchildren, Shawn Sorensen, Helen Davis, and Jacob Smith, and two great-grand children, Alivia and Hendrix Sorensen.
A memorial service will be held for her later in the summertime.
