Kurt Asken, a lifelong resident of Winlock WA, passed away peacefully on January 30th, 2025. Kurt was born on January 11th, 1960 to Barbara and Emil Asken. He lived on Shannon Lewis Lane during his childhood and then in his Grandma Fitch's house after taking care of her for a number of years. Kurt's favorite past times were fishing, camping, warming up to a well built fire and watching the Seahawks. His black lab, Daisy, was his loyal companion for 15 years. "Captain Kurt" was a kind and generous man and he will be missed by family, friends and neighbors. He is survived by his brother, Monte Asken (Joan), his Aunt Gladys (Leon), cousins Tom and Mike, and by multiple nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Gary Mooers, Fred Mooers, his mother and father, Barbara and Emil Asken. A graveside service will be held on February 28th at 2:00 at the Winlock Cemetery.
