Kevin Dale Bluhm

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Dale Bluhm on Jan. 12, 2026.

Kevin was born on Dec. 19, 1959, in Chehalis, Washington, the middle son to Virgil and Janet Bluhm. Kevin attended Chehalis schools, where he was active in athletics, graduating from W.F. West High School in 1978.

Drawn to a career that allowed him to work outdoors, Kevin pursued land surveying. He spent many years working in the field before starting his own business, Bluhm & Associates Land Surveyors, in 1993. He owned and operated the business until his passing. Kevin was well respected by colleagues and clients alike, who often spoke of his fairness, honesty and exceptional competence in his profession.

Kevin married Karen Jenkins in 1979, and together they welcomed two daughters, Kelsi and Kindra. He devoted many years to coaching youth sports and creating lasting memories towing kids around Mason Lake on his boat. In 2008, Kevin married his wife, Tracey, and became a loving and devoted stepfather to her daughters, Tanner and Stephanie. Kevin and Tracey shared a love for the outdoors and adventure, enjoying hunting, skiing, hiking and time spent at their cabin in Packwood. They also played on slow-pitch teams, rode mules and cherished time spent with their many friends.

His grandchildren have fond memories of skiing, riding and feeding the mules at his home, trips to Enchanted Forest, swinging on the rope swing he made them, shooting, riding on the side-by-side or excavator, throwing the ball around and spending time in Packwood golfing, swimming and hiking.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Janet Bluhm.

He is survived by his wife, Tracey Bluhm; his daughters, Kelsi Hamilton (Ryan), Kindra Foley (Matt), Tanner Hammer (DJ) and Stephanie Burns; and his seven beloved grandchildren: Emma, Ava and Amelia Hamilton; Lizzi and Charlie Foley; and Colter and Carolina Hammer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at the W.F. West High School Commons (342 SW 16th St., Chehalis, WA 98532). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kevin Bluhm Memorial Fund through The Chehalis Foundation (chehalisfoundation.org or P.O. Box 1608, Chehalis, WA 98532).
