Joseph "Leo" LePage Sr. Obituary

Joseph Raymond LePage Sr. 1925-2020 Departed Earth and headed to Heaven. He will join his mom and dad, and the four brothers and sisters who passed before him. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Judy; daughter, Diane and husband Craig; son, Joseph and wife Lori; Granddaughter, Sumerle and husband Todd; granddaughter Hanah and husband Chris; and granddaughter, Makala. Also adored were his great-grandchildren, Sasha, Leila, Damon, Savanah, Keegan and Cash. Joe served his country in WWII. When he joined the Navy at age 17, Joe fought in major conflicts with initial invasion of Licata, Sicily on 10 July, 1943. Also, initial invasion on 9 September, 1943 on Salerno, Italy. From 4 June, 1943 until July 1943 served operations in Tunisia, North Africa. On June 6th 1944 he participated in initial operations in assault LST’S Fox Green Beach, Force Omaha, operation Neptune, Normandy, France (D-Day) on June 8th 1944. This man is a survivor of USS LST 376, due to enemy action off shore, force Omaha, operation Neptune, Normandy, France, (torpedoed by a German Sub). “Long Live Joe “Leo” LePage. We love and miss you dear old dad.”
