Johnnie Richard (Rich) Lavender passed away at home on September 3, 2021. Rich was born in Chehalis, Washington on April 1, 1958 to Johnnie W. and Nellie R Lavender. Rich was a unique individual who made no excuse for his personality. He was a one in a million type of guy. He was known by lots
of people from all walks of life. He was always willing to help anyone in any way.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Patsy Scritchfield, Jean Monahan, and Rhonda Lister. Rich is survived by his wife, Judy May, at home, one sister, Leslee (Terry) Lowther of Onalaska, a step daughter Dixie (Ken) Bailey of Longview, a step son, Josh Pollock of Tacoma. He has numerous nieces and nephews, and of course, his four legged kids, Gypsy the Boxer, and Kirby The Pekingese.
Rich will be remembered by many and forgotten by few.
A service will be held on Saturday September 25th at Alexander Park in Chehalis at 11:00 am, with Pastor Ken Rieper, with a potluck to follow. please come help us celebrate Rich and share some stories.
