Janet Lorraine Foss of Onalaska, Washington at the age of 68 died after her years long battle with cancer on March 13, 2025.
Born April 30, 1956, at the St. Helen’s Hospital in Chehalis to Louis and Gladys Larson. She led an accomplished life placing second in State for the 880 meters for Onalaska High School, graduated from Seattle Pacific University, and became a self-made entrepreneur and an award-winning cut flower grower.
She is survived by her husband James Foss, and her two sons and daughters-in-law Gregory, Ashley, Gunnar, and Lori Foss, her five grandchildren June, Belle, Rose, Thaddeus, and Louis, her mother Gladys Larson, and her siblings Shirley Silvernail, Mary Briggs, Robert Larson, John Larson, Cathy Simons, Ellen Mellander, and Roy Larson. She is predeceased by her father Louis Larson and her brother Daniel Larson.
Janet loved gardening, sewing, cooking, writing for magazines, and being with her family; but nothing compared to her love for Jesus Christ. Her accomplishments are many but it’s her faith that centered and motivated her life of service for others. She now rests in peace in the heavenly garden.
Her ceremony and burial on April 5, 2025, will be at Shoestring Church, 104 Fraser Rd, Onalaska Washington at 1:00 pm.
