Jamie Lorena Fast, age 48, passed away on Good Friday, April 18, 2025 in Kennewick, Washington after a valiant 10-year battle with cancer.
Jamie was born on May 4, 1976 to Dwight and Ivie (Lincks) Chastain and grew up in Winlock. After graduating high school, she attended Ricks College in Idaho. She worked for many years in the dental industry.
Jamie married Shane Fast in 2006 and they had two children, Robert and Lael. Tragically, Robert was born and passed away in 2008. Lael was born in October 2010 and was the light of Jamie’s life. Jamie always spread positivity and light into the world and her motto was to “Leave a little sparkle wherever you go.”
Jamie is survived by her husband, Shane Fast and daughter, Lael Fast, of Kennewick; father Dwight Chastain of Winlock; brother Bob (Jeannette) Chastain of Spanish Fork, UT; sisters Michelle Gilreath of Winlock and Kathy (Chad) Chambers of Lynden; nephews Conor, Brandon and Hunter; and nieces Sydney, Aliyah and Solee. Jamie was preceded in death by her infant son, Robert, and her mother, Ivie.
A memorial service will be held at Cattermole Funeral Home on Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m.
NOTE TO GUESTS: To honor Jamie’s zest for life and exceptional sense of style, guests attending the memorial are encouraged to wear things that she loved --- sparkles, bright lipstick, leopard print, rock band t-shirts, fur coats, big sunglasses or camouflage.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your favorite charity or to “Cancer Can’t” P.O. Box 336, Four Lakes WA 99014.
