Jack Perseghetti Obituary

Our Jack went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on March 18th 2023.  Praise the Lord that he is no longer in pain or in his broken earthly tent of a body, but is present with the Lord and awaits his resurrection body on the Day Jesus will raise his church to life again.

Jack was born in New Bethlehem, PA on April 4th 1938 to Henry and Elizabeth (Betty) Perseghetti.  Jack was brought up in a large Italian family, being raised by his beloved grandparents Aquillio (Patsy) & Christina Perseghetti with many uncles and aunts he knew as siblings, whom have all preceded him in death.  Jack is survived by his brothers Bill Perseghetti and Russ Sweitzer, and his sisters Deb Klepfer and Carla Sweitzer, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.   He was preceded in death by siblings, Janice and Kay Perseghetti and Wayne Sweitzer.

Jack attended all his school years in New Bethlehem, and was very active in sports, playing football, wrestling, and track.  He graduated in 1957 and then joined the Navy where he was stationed in San Diego, and spent his time as a Navy diver and machinist on the U.S.S. Ranger!

Jack moved to Vancouver, WA when he left the Navy and made his home there for many years.  He married Jan Kern in 1962 and they had 2 beautiful children, Jack and Jodi Perseghetti. Jack spent the next years living outside of God's way and in that timeframe he was married twice more and eventually sought treatment in AA where Jesus called him back into relationship and new life in Him.

In 1988 Jack and Kim met in AA and they married in 1991. They raised a wonderful son, Corbin Perseghetti, and a step-son, Tyler Mount.  They lived in Rainier, OR where Jack worked at Trojan Nuclear Power Plant as a Welder for 27 years, retiring in 2000.  Prior to Trojan Jack had a Tree Removal business and then worked at Freightliner in Portland,  and Bonneville Power Co., before going PGE.

His retirement years were spent travelling with his wife (even living in an RV for a few years and seeing the country) and son Corbin, being active in his church (The Bridge of Longview), working part-time as a tool man at Lowes, and riding his beloved Harley Electra-Glide with his brothers in Christ cruising through the hills of the PNW.

His final years were hard with many deficits from strokes, but not without much joy in his salvation and his small grand boys, Marcus and Alexander, who lit up his day when they would come and see Drapa.

Jack was known for loving many things including his family, friends, church family, coffee, pancakes, Harley rides with Bob, Dan's apple pie, spider solitaire on his iPad, and so much more. He will be remembered for his great hugs and wonderful smile.

When he passed he was surrounded by his 3 children Jack, Jodi, and Corbin, and his wife Kim who were all holding his hands as he breathed his last breath in this mortal body and was taken home to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jack will be greatly missed, but it is only until we see him again.  He is safe and whole in the presence of his Lord and God.

Jack is survived by his 3 children Jack (wife Renee) Jodi (husband Scott) Corbin (wife Caitlin), 4 grandchildren (Trenton, Kaylyn, Marcus, and Alexander) and his great love and redemption story wife Kim!   His mother in law Margaret (preceded in death by father in law Mel), and many sister & brother in laws.

May God be gracious unto us all until we see Jack again.
