Obituary for Irma Irene Boyer

Irma Irene Boyer, age 103, passed peacefully on December 4, 2025, at 10:30 p.m. Born on September 8, 1922, in Packwood, Washington, Irma spent the majority of her long and fulfilling life in Randle, Washington, alongside her beloved husband, Charles “Charlie” Boyer, who preceded her in death in 1983.

Irma and Charlie raised three daughters: Karen Morgan, who passed in 1991; Joanne Bridges, who passed in 2025; and Elaine Layman. Their family grew to include twelve grandchildren, as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren—each one a source of joy and pride throughout Irma’s life.

A woman of remarkable creativity and curiosity, Irma filled her days with a wide array of hobbies. She was an artist, baker, hunter, fisher, gardener, leather worker, basket weaver, photographer, and skilled creator of hand-tied flies. She loved collecting rocks, knitting and crocheting, and spending time camping in the beautiful places she cherished. Irma was also an author, expressing her thoughts, stories, and passions through the written word.

Her many talents reflected a life lived close to nature and guided by endless imagination and skill.

Irma was a devoted Christian whose faith shaped everything she did. She lived as an example of Christ’s teachings—steadfast, compassionate, humble, and kind. Her life stands as a gentle reminder to follow your faith, embrace life fully, and treat others with grace and generosity.

Never one to seek the spotlight, Irma requested no service be held after her passing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her cherished church, the Family Worship Center in Randle.

Irma leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, faith, and beautifully lived years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and forever remembered by the generations she nurtured.
