Gloria Jean Merrill quietly went to sleep in the Lord, May 25th, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.
Gloria was born September 19, 1941 in Longview, Washington to Earl Nehemiah Stinson and Goldie Evelynn Roberts. Gloria had many siblings who were Kenneth, Mildred, Lloyd, Garold, Dorthy, Darl, Jack, and Terry whom have preceded her in death. Donna Petty, of Winlock is the last survivor of the Stinson Family.
Gloria began her schooling in Evaline then later attending Napavine, Winlock, and Toledo schools. She also received her high school diploma and AA Degree from Lower Columbia Community College in Longview.
Gloria worked at Winlock Smitty’s Restaurant, Better Weigh, and City of Winlock. She has also been involved with many local organizations, committees and volunteer groups. She has resided in Winlock for the last 57 years. Her husband, Ervin Lyle Merrill preceded her in death. She has five children: Robert Inman of Onalaska, Evelyn Mendoza of Centralia, Garold (Kimmy) Merrill of Winlock, Mark (Lorna) Merrill of Winlock and Ervin (Michelle) of Edmonds. Gloria has 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
