Gerald Earl Todd

Gerald Earl Todd (Jerry) 82 of Toutle, WA was born November 21, 1940 in Kelso WA to the late Hiley and Margaret Burch Todd. He passed away suddenly and peacefully at home on August 4, 2023, with this grandson Chris Tarabochia at his side following a short battle with cancer. 

Jerry continually joked that he was still on Christmas break in his Junior year at Castle Rock High School when he went to work for Weyerhaeuser Company. During his time with Weyco, he worked many jobs, ultimately spending most of his time driving log truck until medically retiring in 2000. 

He married Gail Umiker of Toutle, in 1961 and they were married 55 years raising their two children Mary Ann and Gerald Jr. (Earl).

Jerry spent most of his spare time hunting, fishing and camping. He found a renewed passion for fishing in his final 25 years of life. He also spent numerous mornings playing pool at the Senior Center in Castle Rock, WA. He was a long-time member of the Castle Rock Eagles. 

He was proceeded in death by his parents and siblings Norma Jean, Ronald, Randy, Bonnie, his wife Gail in October 2016 and son-in-law Michael Wood in July 2023. Jerry is survived by his daughter Mary Wood of Crivitz, WI, son Earl (Angie) of Longview, WA. Granchildren Chris Tarabochia of Chehalis, WA, Tina (Kyle) Corry of Rockport, TX, Garrett Harrison of Vancouver, WA and McKenna Todd of Longview, WA. He enjoyed his time with great-granddaughters Tycie and Kylie of Rockport, TX.

Per his wishes no services will be held. Cremation is being handled by Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock, WA.
