Frances Darlene Taylor

Our dear mother, grandmother, aunt and sister, Frances Darlene Taylor, passed away on the morning of February 3, 2025, in Puyallup, WA after a long illness. Today, she will be in paradise with Jesus when He comes to gather His people for eternity.

Frances was born to Floyd Francis Richards and Dorsie Darlene Willard on February 14, 1953, in Centralia, WA.  She grew up between Lewis and Thurston Counties and graduated from Tenino High School, Tenino WA in 1971. She married David Lee Stonum (March 8, 1949-August 28, 2020) in February 1972 and had 2 children, Shawna and Jason. On July 5, 1978, she married her second husband, Donald Taylor (August 13, 1950-May 29, 2008) and was with him when he passed in Centralia, WA. She never remarried. She was preceded in death by her brother, Floyd Dennis Richards (August 14, 1956- October 5, 2016).

We will all miss her loving spirit terribly and are grateful for the time we did get to spend with her. Frances was the kindest, sweetest person who would save the world if God had it in His plan for her to do so. She loved everyone unconditionally, especially her family and God. Mom remembered every birthday and anniversary and made a point to call each person on their special day, even the littlest of members. If you knew Frances, you were loved by her.

Frances is survived by Shawna Stonum (daughter) of Tacoma, WA; Jason and Serenity Stonum (son and daughter-in-love) of Winchester, TN; Clement Richards and Floyd Richards, Jr (nephews); Athena Richards (niece); 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and countless others she called family, biological or otherwise.

A memorial service will be held at Cattermole Funeral Home on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2 PM.
