Diana: a wife, mom, daughter,
granddaughter, grandma, greatgrandma, sister, aunt, niece, cousin,
friend…these words do not even begin
to describe the loving, stubborn, strong,
beautiful, complicated woman that
Diana was to so many people
throughout her life. But to anyone who
knew her, they know that her life was
like a magical painting that left an impression on everyone who knew her, even if it was her changing
hair color that they remember most!
Diana’s life journey was cut short on Tuesday, August 18th after a
fall in her home, Randle, WA.
Her beautiful soul leaves behind her lifelong friend and husband
Paul. The two of them lived through many of life’s journey with
passion, heartache, love, struggles, and joy! Diana said recently that
no matter what happened in life, Paul was her best friend! They
took care of each other through all of life’s ups and downs.
Diana joins her daughter Roni, who also finished her own life
journey way too early! Her sweet son James, who is her big teddy
bear protector, and her oldest daughter Stacy (husband David) will
continue to paint her memories for future generations to come.
Diana’s life was blessed with two grandchildren, RaShell
(husband Micheal) & Brandon (wife Camille), eight greatgrandchildren, Jeremiah, Steven, Delilah, Alexander, Emmeline,
Rhylea, Dash, and Asher (expected soon). As she would say, “they
are the real magic that brings her more joy than she ever imagined”.
They are her legacy!
Diana’s sisters made her life fun and gave her much needed
strength! Marie (husband Terry) lives in Oregon with her family.
Her two younger sisters, Violet and Julie, have already gone onto
the next journey. These four beautiful sisters have painted a life
together that provided strength during some of the most difficult
times and created joys that the families will cherish for another
lifetime!
Diana’s parents, Alvin Montgomery and Yolanda (Sawyer), who
have long since gone onto the next journey, created a beautiful
person who we all loved!
The many, many, many cousins, uncles, aunt, and grandmother all
added to the beauty in her life journey.
Diana lived in Packwood, WA most of her life. She volunteered
at the Packwood Fire Department, the local Food Bank, The
Packwood Annual BBQ, and so much more!
Diana’s life journey was beautiful and left joy, love, inspiration,
and hope for everyone to celebrate!
Diana’s family will be celebrating her life on Saturday, September
12th at her daughters’ home in Olympia. For more details please
