Diana Bowles, age 83, passed away in the home of her daughter Carolyn in Bonney Lake, Wa, on August 10, 2024. Born on April 23, 1941, Diana was also known as Mom and Nana. She lived a life of love for God, her family and her church. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and neighbor who will dwell in the hearts of many forever.
Diana loved trying new recipes, baking prolifically and enjoying the company of her family around the table. She was always thinking about that next special gift she thought her loved one would enjoy. She taught Sunday School, was involved in women’s ministry, filling in wherever she was needed.
Diana and her husband Bert were committed to loving and caring for each other, celebrating 66 years of marriage last year. They married in December, 1957.
Most of her years were dedicated to taking care of her family and home. Together, she and Bert raised three children.
After retirement they spent time volunteering their time building churches with MAPS, followed by years taking care of widows in the church and in their neighborhoods.
Preceded in death by her husband (Bert Bowles), mother (Mamie Mullins), father (Archie Mullins), brother’s in law (Ira David Fish and Bill Perkins), sister in law (Sheryl Mullins) nephew (David Fish) and great nephew (Derrik McLean).
