David Ernest Linder

David Ernest Linder was born on September 4th, 1943, in Tacoma WA to George and Dorthy Linder. He was the second oldest of 5 siblings. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Ron and Gene Linder. He is survived by sisters Janice Pupo and Jorjann Buzzell. David went to meet Jesus on April 3, 2024. He ascended from his home in Winlock WA with his wife of 52 years by his side.

David was a free spirit from a young age and loved to roam. He met Marilyn Hemmingsen in Detroit Michigan, and they were inseparable from day one.  They were married on June 2,1971 in Tacoma WA. They built a beautiful family consisting of 5 Children. He was preceded in death by their first child, Kathleen, who passed shortly after birth. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Linder, 4 Children, Matthew Linder, Jonathan Linder, Cheryl Rouse and Elise Symonds. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin, Zachary, Adam, Jaiden, Jonathan, Caitlin, Tarin, Lynn Jr., Cole, Caleb and Jaren and 6 great grandchildren.

David, who’s nick name was Grizzly Dave, was a man who had a deep connection with his faith in Jesus.  He would share his love for Jesus with anyone who would take a moment to sit with him. Few things in life gave him as much joy as sharing his testimony with others. He often shared his love of Christ through song and those that have been blessed enough to hear him sing can testify to the vocal gift that he had.

David was a generous man who would give to others without hesitation. He passionately believed that God blessed him so he should bless others.  He loved and cared for his family.  His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his world. He had a gift of making friends and turning them into family and those extended family members are too long to list.

David Ernest Linder, Husband, Son, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Friend…He will be dearly missed by those left here on earth, but we know that he is singing in heaven.
