Child Andrew Barnett, beloved Son, Brother and Unkie to Isabella went to be with his brother, Justin, in Heaven on Sunday November 9, 2025.
Chad was a graduate of Winlock High School, Class of 2000. He awas a member of the FFA, where he raised hogs, and made enough money at the fair auction to be able to purchase his first car, a Buick Skylark.
In middle school, under the coaching of Gary Viggers, Sr., Chad made a memorable " Hail Mary" shot from the opposing team's foul line, to win the tournament game at the buzzer. Chad's basketball career continued on into high school, where he mastered his 3-point shot, While his brother Justin had to work hard for his skills, basketball came naturally to Chad. He shared his love of the game with his niece Isabella, teaching her how to dribble and shoot when she was young.
After high school, Chad attended South Puget Sound Community College. He then followed his brother to Cheney, taking classes at Eastern Washington University.
Growing, up Chad enjoyed the annual Memorial Day weekend trips to Hood Canal and barbequing with the neighborhood families. He had a great eye for landscaping, enjoyed picking out the plants and especially find the perfect Oriental Maple Tree, even if he wasn't fond of the the heavy lifting! He had a love for shoes, starting with his first pair of Michael Jordan's, which lead to a vast collection of sneakers filling his closet.
Chad shared an incredibly special bond with both his brother, Justin and his niece, Isabella. He was a good listener, a trusted confidant, and a friend to many.
Chad is survived by his loving parents, Mike and Ellen Barnett; his niece, Isabella; grandparents, Avon and Janet Hill; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend Justin; grandparents, Eileen Boreen, Glen and Floy Boreen, and Carol Hill.
A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christan Fellowship Church on Cemetery Road in Winlock, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chad's honor to the Winlock Food Bank.
We will miss you BRAVE Son...
