Carol Rae Blackstone

We are sad to announce the passing of Carol Rae Blackstone of Chehalis, WA. Carol passed at the young age of 64 on Saturday Apr 29, 2023at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Carol was comforted during her time of passing by her step daughter Tasha and a staff of amazing nurses. Carol was an only child born October 10, 1958 in the state of California. Being an only child she did not have siblings to create memories with, but she did have a best friend Stephanie of Spokane, WA who she spent a lot of time with and created countless memories. Over the last six years Carol spent so much time with her caregiver Bryanna, the two of them formed an unbreakable bond. Bryanna was there for Carol through all of the ups and downs of her medical journey, not only as a caregiver but as a kind compassionate person that truly loved spending time with her. The love the two of them had for each other was priceless. Just over four years ago Carol met the person she chose to spend the rest of her life with, David Burgess of Centralia. Carol and Dave settled into the Vintage Apartments in Chehalis where they lived out the rest of her life together. Carol not only found the love of her life with Dave, she found a family to love and a family that loved her so much. Carol was ecstatic when she bonded with Dave’s grandchildren and finally got to be Grandma to the four of them. She loved them all so much and was so proud to finally have a family to call her own. Carol will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her, she was definitely a one of a kind woman that loved with her whole heart. Although her journey with us on earth has ended, the memories and love she shared with us will be cherished forever.

At this time we have not set a date for any celebration for Carol, however, we plan to hold a small celebration/gathering in her honor once the weather is nice.
