Beverly Jean Gessele
Beverly Jean Taylor was born on November 17, 1946. She died April 29, 2025 due to complications from surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA at age 78. Beverly was born to Bernella & Ralph Taylor in Scott Field , Illinois. After her mother and father divorced, her mother married Everette Calkins. He became a wonderful stepfather to Beverly and was her dad, officially adopting her in 1966. After completing high school, Beverly pursued a nursing degree at Pacific Union College and Loma Linda University in California.
It was at Loma Linda that she met Larry Gessele in March of 1970. They dated for some months and married on December 20, 1970 and were happily married for 54 years. They moved to Onalaska, Washington in 1973 where they have lived for over 50 years.
As well as her love of family, Beverly loved being a nurse. She practiced nursing for 25 years at Centralia Providence Hospital. She & Larry retired in October 2013 after many years as medical professionals. Before Beverly worked as a nurse in Centralia, while her children were young, she had a thriving home daycare business.
Beverly was known for her loving spirit, curiosity, love of life, family & animals.
