Wayne Ashley Jr was born in Annapolis, MD on August 21, 1961 to Wilma and Wayne Ashley Sr. When he 17 years old the family moved across the county to Arizona where he spent a large portion of his adult life before relocating to Washington to be close to his children. Wayne fought a long and difficult battle against cancer that he unfortunately lost on July 20, 2019 surround by his family. He loved life and was known by many as the cheerful, fun loving, jokester. Where ever he went, he left smiles on those he met. When he wasn’t traveling for work you would find him at the local diner, corner store, or on his farm with his beloved dog, Tuari, in tow. He was avid seeker of knowledge and focused his free time on building his organic farm including apple trees and bees where he planned to spend his retirement years. One of his greatest joys in life was watching his two children grow up and spending time with them whether it was car shows or photography trips to the mountains. Wayne is survived by his twins Wayne and Lorena, his father Wayne Sr, two sisters Karen and Betty, and his brother Rick as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. Instead of spending money on flowers, the family asks that you donate to their go-fund-me page setup to assist with final expenses, https://www.gofundme.com/f/donations-to-help-with-my-father. A celebration of life will be held in Chehalis time and date TBD.
