Robert "Bob" Hood

Robert “Bob” Hood, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2019, at Peace Health St. Johns in Longview, Washington surrounded by his family. This hard working and dedicated man was born on November 6, 1937 to Glenn & Stella Smith in Shreveport, Louisiana. Bob graduated high school in Orem, Utah and served four years in the United States Air Force. He married Donna Lagerquist on September 29, 1960 in Ashland, Oregon. Upon completion of his military service he went to work as an engineer with the US Forest Service, retiring in 1990. He returned to part-time employment as a Bus Driver for the White Pass School District. Bob was the proud father of four children - David (Debi), Becki (Terry), Darla (Brad), and Bobby (Darla). He took great joy in his nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures – bowling, hunting, picking wild huckleberries, attending sporting events of his children and grandchildren, to feasting on crab and fried oysters. A memorial pot-luck luncheon will be held on Saturday, March 16th at the Randle Fire Hall, 12:30 – 4:30 pm.
