Marjorie E. (Burton) Barnett, 85, went to be with the Lord August 1st, 2019 at her home. She was born to Leigh and Nellie Burton in Winlock, WA on December 17, 1933. Marge worked in the banking industry for 40 years retiring as a loan officer. Marge met Don Barnett at an Air Force event and they were married March 1st, 1955, they were married fifty years.
Don and Marge enjoyed dancing, gardening, and farming at their home in Castle Rock. They danced at various lodges in the Longview-Kelso area. When Marge was younger she liked to horseback ride and hunt. She and her mother were avid rock hounds and they hunted all over the area for agates. Marge also enjoyed going for long drives on the back roads with her longtime family friend Gene.
Later in life she enjoyed the time spent with her grand-kids, she was a big part of their upbringing and always took the time to help in their studies. Marge was a very positive influence on the grand-kids and was proud to have such a large role in their lives.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Don who passed in 2006, and her brother H. Lee Burton.
She is survived by her daughters Julee Barnett, and Jeanee E. Barnett Boyle (Bill), along with three grandchildren Jessica J. Presler, Paige Leigh Boyle, and Jacob W. Boyle.
