Louis V. Pipes, Jr. (1923-2018) Louis (L.V.) Pipes, Jr., son of Louis V. and Violet M. (Kelland) Pipes, Sr., was born and grew up in Appleton City, MO. He died in Centralia, WA on August 12, 2018. He was 95. After serving in the Navy during WWII, Louis returned to Appleton City and started his family. Then, he moved to Overland Park, KS where he raised his family and worked over 25 years for General Motors. L.V. retired to Kennewick, WA where he lived until 2016 when he moved to Centralia. Louis is survived by his son Larry Pipes (Marsha) and daughter Barbara Killinger, grandchildren: Loren Pipes, Prairie Besore (Perry), and Stephen Mistron (Shannon), great grandson Draven Besore, and brother Jim Pipes. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Pipes, ex-wife Lavon (VanBuskirk) Sommer, son Rodney Pipes, granddaughter Ruby Pipes, and son-in-law Robert Mistron. Burial will be at a later date in Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City, MO.
