Joe Earl Steveson a lifelong resident of Toledo Washington passed away peacefully on October 5, 2108 at his home. Joe was born July 22, 1938 to Walter and Helen Steveson. He graduated in 1958 from Toledo HS where he participated in many sports. He excelled in track and still holds the record at Toledo HS in the 100 yd. dash which he was very proud of. He was also a member of the 1957 State Championship Football Team.
Joe is survived by his children, Rickene (Bruce) Reynolds, Kelly (Sherry) Steveson, Nick Steveson and Shane Steveson (Nicole). Joe had 8 Grandchildren, Jeremy, Erin, Kari, Chad, Cameron, Jodi, Julie, and Ashley. He had 7 Great Grandchildren, Mya, Kylee, Rylie, Brylinn, Huntley, Kamryn and Luke. His Sisters Connie and Kathy along with many nieces and nephews that were all very special to him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Don Steveson.
Joe worked for Olson Brother Trucking and Roy Filla Trucking until he started his own business, Joe Steveson Trucking in the late 70’s.
Joe enjoyed Hunting & Fishing, and always had a good story to tell to anyone and the more he repeated the story the better it would get! He spent many hours working in his shop crafting gifts from wood, those gifts will be treasured for many through their lifetime.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday October 21, 2018 at the Cowlitz Prairie Grange in Toledo.
