Jerry D Holt

Gerald D. (Jerry) Holt passed away peacefully surrounded by family July, 8, 2019, at St Peter Hospital, Olympia. Jerry was born along with his twin brother Gary January 1, 1951, in Minot, ND to Frances and Fern Holt. His early years were spent in several states as the family moved frequently. In 1971 he married Paula Gowin Walker. Together they had 5 children. They were later divorced. He met Anita in 1980 and they were married in 1981. They first settled in Centralia and later moved to the family home in Ethel. He worked for several trucking companies during his life. During his years driving he owned his own truck and leased to various companies. Trucking was in his blood and he was a great driver. After leaving the road he went to work for Grants towing working at the Napavine Office. In 2018 he and Anita became fulltime retirees. Jerry enjoyed fishing, camping and NASCAR. He and Anita made several trips to Vegas to watch the cars turn left and go in circles. He is survived by his Wife Anita; children Michelle (Kevin), Jerry (Jenny), Judy, and Doneia (Santiago); siblings Gary, Barb (Randy) and Penny; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Frances and Fern Holt, mother-in-law and father-in-law Barbara and Leonard Swanson, sons Frances Paul (Frankie) and Clair James, sister-in-law Barbara Holt and brother-in-law Bruce Swanson. Family and friends are invited to a BBQ potluck Celebration of Life for Jerry at the Family home, Saturday, August 17, at 1:00 P.M. RIP Jerry: You lived life to the fullest. You will be greatly missed.
