Jack A. Davis was born in Winlock Washington in 1931 and went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2019. He attended school in Winlock WA. He married his life-long partner of 64 years Neva Grace Franklin on May 15, 1951. He and Grace lived in Florida, Whidbey Island, Napavine, and then settled in Winlock where they lived in the Davis place which was the home to three generations of the Davis family. In 1972 they moved to their current home on South Military Rd, Winlock WA. They also spent time in Randle Washington and in Toledo Washington while Jack was the Postmaster of the Post Offices in those locations. Jack enjoyed farming, logging, wood cutting, electrical work, and general work of any kind. He was someone who enjoyed helping others with a project, or trouble shooting how to fix most anything. He joined his parents, Guy E. and Gertrude Davis, as well as his sister Connie and brother Kenneth in Heaven. He leaves his oldest sister Betty Rathjen, his children, Marvin Allen Davis, Margaret A. Davis, Guy F. Davis, and Ladonna M. Davis (Neiser); Grandchildren, Richard (Nick) Davis, Justin D. Thayer, Bre’el Davis (Nickel), and Nariel Davis; and Great Grandchildren, Candace Waterman, Kage Thayer, Justin Thayer (Jr.), Kamarah, Benjamin, and Joelle. He also had many nieces and nephews as well as extended family who loved him. Along with his favorite task of wood-cutting, Jack taught Sunday School, Fast Aid with Grace, and was an Emergency Medical Technician on the Randle, Toledo, and Vader ambulances. He also belonged to the Fire Departments in those cities. Jack was a good friend, neighbor, dad, grandparent and his smile, sense of humor, and kindness will be missed by many. He truly had a servant heart. A celebration of life will be held at Toledo Baptist Church on June 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
