Esther N Ocken

Esther Ocken, 91, passed away peacefully Aug. 9, 2018. She was born Feb. 23, 1927, to Fredrick and Rose Ottemoeller in Grand Island, Neb. Esther was active in her church and loved singing in the choir. She enjoyed spending time with her family, was a regular at the Lucky Eagle Casino for bingo and a die-hard Seahawks and Mariners fan. Esther is survived by her sons, David and Timothy Ocken; grandchildren, Erica (Adam) Boehm, Matthew (Karla) Wichert and Zachary Wichert; and great-grandchildren, Kasen, Harper Rose and Jensen. She is reunited in heaven with her husband, Dale; son, Thomas Ocken; daughter, Rosemary Wichert; and numerous other family members. advertisement A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 379 WA-505, Winlock, Wash., with a reception to follow.
