Delhart was born in Minnesota on 3-24-1930 to Omer and Lillian Jacquemart. The large family moved West to Seattle upon hearing that Boeing was hiring.
Leaving high school in 1948, Del enlisted in the Navy until 1957. He was married to Glenna and they had two sons, David and Michael. The family home in San Diego was lovely and had a backyard swimming pool.
After the Navy, Delhart started driving as an over-the-road truck driver. He traveled extensively and loved his career. When Glenna passed away in 1975, Del left the home to his two adult sons, before he moved to Oklahoma.
It was in Oklahoma that Delhart met Wanda. They decided to move to the Seattle area to run a restaurant in Kingston. Later Del and Wanda moved back to Oklahoma, where Del took care of Wanda as she became ill and passed away.
Del then moved to California to be near his sons. He enjoyed outings with Michael while there.
At this point, Delhart moved to Morton, Washington upon an invitation from his sister, Colette Wold. They shared expenses and enjoyed multiple road trips to Montana and Minnesota to visit old friends, family, and remember the summers spent on the Cota and Jacquemart Farms.
Colette and Delhart were active in their Catholic Church in Morton. They made many friends over the years in the community.
In 2015, Delhart and Colette decided to move into the Heritage House Assisted Living facility in Morton together, as it had become too difficult for them to maintain a home. Del's son, David, had spent many months, prior to this decision, helping his father with bathing and dressing and getting Del to doctor appointments. David's help was greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, Delhart became bedridden and was transferred to long term care in the Morton Hospital. He was visited almost daily by his sister, Colette, who would pray the rosary and share the news of the day. For three years, Michael and David would travel from California to visit their father.
Delhart Jacquemart will be remembered for his funny stories, jokes, and songs. He was a kind man and a loving brother, husband, and father. May God rest his soul in peace.
