Wayne Victory

Wayne Victory, 90, passed away from heart failure Jan. 26, 2018, at his home in Centralia, surrounded by his family. He was born April 29, 1927, in Mer Rouge, La. He joined the United States navy in 1944, and retired in 1965. Wayne married Mae (Runyon) Victory Oct. 20, 1956, in Yuma, Ariz. They had three children, Ken, Steve and Roxanne. Wayne moved his family to Centralia, where he started working for the City of Centralia Parks Department. After 22 years, he retired. He was a avid gardener and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family. Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Steve Victory; parents; two brothers; sister; brother-in-law, Glen Runyon; and sister-in-law, Anita (Runyon) Word. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mae; son, Ken; daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and Brad Bond; granddaughters, Anna and Eliza Victory; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Ellie Runyon of Rochester, Clarence and Louise Runyon of Chehalis, Sharon Runyon of Kingman, Ariz., Clyde and Karon of Cinebar and Danny Word of Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephew. Per Wayne’s request there will be no service.
