Margurite "Rose" Rosalind Erickson

December 15, 1928 ~ October 10, 2016 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Marguerite Rosalind “Rose” Erickson, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family in Chehalis, Wash., Oct. 10, 2016. She was 87 years old and forever young. Rose’s life was filled with the joy of a large family and large circle of friends. She is survived by her six children, Linda Goble (Dwight), Diana Elder (Bob), Cathi Wentworth (Dennis), Ron Stowe, Randy Stowe (Janet) and Bob Stowe and was blessed to blend four additional children, Anna Bridges (James), Susan Mossop (Carey), Mark Erickson (Annette) and Ruth Dick (Mike). Rose also leaves behind 24 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Erickson who passed away in 2007. Rose was born in 1928, to Edward and Marguerite Davis in Onalaska, Wash. Her parents preceded her in death in 1942, and 1940 respectively. Rose was an independent. hard working. dedicated and courageous woman. She worked for 25 years at Interchecks Inc., in Centralia, advancing throughout her career there. She was also greatly involved in many volunteer activities for United Way among them being a loaned executive for Reliable Enterprises. After retirement, Rose was greatly involved in the activities of the Presbyterian Church of Onalaska and Chehalis. She also volunteered her time and leadership abilities working tirelessly for the Olympia Presbyter, contributing greatly to the vision of the Presbyterian Church. She was a master gardener as evidence by her annual vegetable garden and her yard filled with flowers. We will forever miss “Mom’s green beans”. We will also miss the great meals and the holidays at “Nana’s house”. Rose also liked to travel and traveled with her children and friends every chance she could. She loved the sun and was able to bask in the sun this summer with her family in Lake Chelan and Hawaii. The family will forever have fond memories of both of these trips and the special time spent with their mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. Rose will be forever missed by her family and large circle of friends, who’s lives she touched with unlimited love. A celebration of Rose’s life will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 349 N. Market Blvd., Chehalis, Wash., Oct. 29, 2016, at 1 p.m. The family invites her friends and others to join them in this celebration of Rose.
