Floyd V Carne

Floyd Vernon Carne Born 12-22-1947 in Sonora, Ca. Passed 06-10-2016 at home in Winlock, Wa. Floyd was born & raised in Sonora & married his late wife, Laurel (Feltes) Carne 05-30-1970, and spent 34 years together until her sudden demise in 2004. While raising their family there he was a logger, firefighter, a driver for Anderson & Lehman, and owned 3 businesses of his own, the last being Floyd's Paint Shop in Chinese Camp. The family moved to Poulsbo, Wa in 1982, where he worked for Fred Hill until relocating in 1992 to his current home in Winlock. He was a driver/trainer for Lone Star NW, then joined the team @ WSDOT, where he was a traffic control supervisor until he retired. He married again 8-30-2013, to Elizabeth (Sickles) Carne, and they spent many happy days together before his passing. Floyd is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, son Leif Carne, daughter Summer (Jay) Cook, stepchildren Kate (Allen) Clark, Meg (Ryan) Hunter, Gwendolyn Lentz, William Lentz, brothers Jeff Goularte, Bob Phillips, sisters Kathy Goularte, Jeannie (Phillips) Cole, & several grandbabies whom he adored. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 25th @ 2 pm @ the Cowlitz Prairie Grange 5184 Jackson Hwy Toledo, Wa. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local humane society in his name
