Albert "Bert" Leas

Albert (Bert) Nash Leas passed away peacefully on February 10th, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was at his home in Chehalis, WA with his family by his side. Bert was born in Nampa, ID on December 31st, 1948 to Finley and Pauline Leas. He graduated from Grant High School in 1967 and lived in the Portland area the majority of his life. He retired from Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative in 2014. Bert spent years playing softball and golfing with his friends. He also enjoyed camping and boating with his family. His family and friends will remember him for always being someone they could count on, a loyal friend and hard worker. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Karyn and Mike Barr, his daughter and son-in-law Stacy and Scott Carle, and two grandsons, Ryan and Robby Carle. He leaves behind his sister-in-law, Chris Seely, his sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and John Simonet, his brother, Larry Leas and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bert’s honor to the American Cancer Soceity.
